May 1 protest against Arizona Law

Over 400 El Pasoans protested in front of the headquarters of the El Paso Republican Party at 6006 N. Mesa Saturday, May 1. Among them were elected officials sich as County Commissioner Veronica Escobar and others. The protesters took a stand against the spread of Arizona-like legislations to Texas and against prejudice and racial profiling. Judging by the great number of cars honking their horns, motorists were in support.
